Screen Printing Process Overview

Screen printing can be used to print on a wide variety of garments and promotional products.

The process consists of three elements: the screen; which is the image carrier, the squeegee; and the ink. The screen printing process uses a porous mesh fabric stretched tightly over a frame made of wood or metal and coated in a photosensitive material. 

The art is separated so each color can be made into a separate screen stencil.
The art for each color of the design is transferred to a positive image that will be chemically processed (burned) onto the screen fabric.

The burned screen(s) is/are loaded and aligned on the press and the garments are then printed.

Once the item is printed it will be placed on a conveyor belt which carries the finished product into the drying oven.
